This map was originally compiled by Tony Case for use in the Star Wars Role-Playing
Game. It was adapted for the web early in 1995 by myself and has recently moved to the
following URL: http://www.lowlight.com/swmap. I have kept the
content of the map as true to Tony's design as possible. I hope this helps you to find
information about any planet in that galaxy far, far away...
And now, the original content:

Well, I suppose that this should be a much later version number, but this is the first one released to
the public. Later updates will fill in the blanks (missing planet descriptions and the sources on where to
find them), and new material (Empires End, the X-Wing books, the new TIE Fighter TOD, and so on). I've
tried to be consistent in the details of the planet, but some of the descriptions are as in-depth as just a name
and the main race found there. I'm trying to fix that- it's a long process. If the entry is blank, there probably
wasn't anything mentioned about the planet in the work (though a few slipped past the editing process. Oops).

The center sector is the Deep Core, with the next two rows out considered the Core Worlds. Concentrically out from that are two rows of the Inner Systems and two rows of the Outer Rim. Off the north end of the map is Wild Space- generally unknown and uncharted, make it up as you go.
Originally, each sector was 1 inch by 1.5 inches, stretching out from the center. In this format, hyperspace travel works out to be approximately 60 hours per inch on a trade route, or 70 h/in. off a route (up to the GM's discretion). The trade routes aren't marked so you'll have to use your best judgement for plotting courses and figuring out travel times. Assume a larger network of routes as you head towards the core.
Each entry within a sector follows the Planet Name (Source and Page Number): Brief Description
format. The following is a guide to the souce abbreviations:
The web implementation of the map was designed to be easy to use, so there's really not much to explain. After choosing a quadrant from the main page, you will receive a larger version of that quadrant with the names of the sectors within it. Choose a sector from the quadrant map and you will get the information that Tony has compiled about that sector. A small map in the upper left corner of the page will show you the position of your chosen sector within the quadrant. Clicking on this image will bring you back to the quadrant map.
Everything remaining is either Tony's or mine, please feel free to use them as you wish. All we ask is that you give credit where it is due...
